The Turkish Association of Economic Enterprise and Business Ethics (İGİAD) was founded in İstanbul to promote entrepreneurship and disseminate business ethics.
İLKE Foundation for Science, Culture and Education was established as an umbrella institution to carry out pioneering work in business ethics and entrepreneurship, academic studies and education.
Beginning with the Research Center for Islamic Economics (İKAM), EPAM, TODAM and STA were established under the umbrella; İLKE became a think tank producing knowledge, policy and strategy.
With its member associations İLEM, İGİAD and YEKDER, the Nokta Publishing Group and four research centers, İLKE continues to contribute to society in education, economics, society and civil society.
