Platform Muslim World Agenda 2024

Across a vast geography stretching from the Middle East to the Balkans and from Europe to Asia, the agenda of Muslim-majority and minority societies is rapidly evolving and diversifying. From the economy to the climate crisis, from international law to culture and the arts, numerous issues shape the social, economic, and political dynamics of these societies. As these changes unfold, the need for a platform to understand and discuss their direction is becoming increasingly essential. To address this need, the Thought and Movements in Muslim Societies Project was launched in 2021 under the İLKE Foundation. Between 2021 and 2023, this project produced the Intellectual Contributions from the Muslim World Bulletin , which presented the agenda of Muslim societies in a monthly publication. In 2023, the project took on a new digital form under the title "Platform: The Muslim World Agenda" , continuing its mission and vision with renewed vigor. Throughout 2024, Platform has featured various analyses and interviews, adopting a country- and region-focused approach while considering contemporary dynamics and relationships. We are pleased to present Platform: The Muslim World Agenda 2024 , a selection of key analyses from the past year, addressing developments and challenges faced by Muslim communities worldwide under various thematic perspectives. With Platform , we aim to provide a unique and comprehensive understanding of the current Muslim agenda in relation to the broader global landscape. We strive to make this initiative a part of the efforts toward a more just world order. We hope this selection will be beneficial to our readers and contribute meaningfully to those interested in the subject.
