The Outlook of Society 2023: Urban and Housing

In Türkiye, the urban and housing has long been a fundamental issue. Phenomena such as apartment living, slums, municipal services, urban transportation, unplanned urbanization and urban transformation are constantly being discussed. In recent years, rising prices in the housing market and the  Kahramanmaraş earthquake have revealed long-standing problems in urban and housing issues.   The report prepared by TODAM, "The Outlook of Society 2023: Urban and Housing", focuses on a crisis in Türkiye that has different forms of appearance in different periods. As in previous years' reports, the transformation of Türkiye over the past decade is scrutinized using key indicators across 15 different areas. Furthermore, the report sheds light on the socio-economic landscape of all 81 provinces, covering everything from economy to education, healthcare to law. Additionally, it provides detailed maps, tables, and analyses concerning the construction sector, housing market, and property ownership.
